Hey there Guys. This week I have felt overwhelmed and inundated with so much negative press about gay men, gay marriage and various politicians and others views on how wrong homosexuality is. After a while is really left me feeling ground down so when I saw this wonderful story of a gay couple’s care for each other I had to share it.
Reported at The Huffington Post:
When Randy Neece was ready to give up on his life, he had a partner who refused to let him.
Neece and his husband, Joe Timko, have been married 25 years and their relationship is a perfect example of a true partnership.
The couple faced a serious trial when Neece was near death and without the will to live. But in his darkest moment, Timko was strong enough for the both of them.
“In ’96, I was pretty much gone from AIDS and really on my death bed after about three years of begging Joe to let me go, and he just wouldn’t do it,” Neece said. “I survived long enough for the cocktail to come around, and here I am 18 years later, and we’re still going beautifully together in our relationship.”
In an inspiring video Randy and Joe share their thoughts and struggles, all the time their genuine affection truly shining.
One Gay Couple’s Story
It’s good to know that despite the terrible, vile homophobia that is seemingly reported on a daily basis there are good people, loving people who can inspire gay men and women.
This gave me a great smile today and I hope it has for you as well.
What is your inspiring story? I’d love to hear it.
